Current Lake Conditions and Trolling Success with Captain Glenn
Lake Michigan - Mason, MI
The 2026 fishing season is off to a strong start in Port Washington. Recent trips on Lake Michigan have shown consistent action as water temperatures begin to stabilize, drawing King and Coho Salmon into active feeding zones. We are finding the most success using professional trolling patterns, focusing on the temperature breaks where baitfish are concentrated.
Our guests on the 33-foot Trojan have enjoyed steady rod action, with several trophy-sized Kings landed recently. The Coho Salmon are also showing up in good numbers, providing fast-paced excitement for both novice and experienced anglers. Steelhead and Lake Trout are rounding out the coolers, making for a diverse catch.
As we move through the peak months of May and June, the bite typically intensifies during the early morning and late afternoon windows. We recommend booking your preferred date soon, as the spring and summer calendar is filling up quickly. Whether you are aiming for a personal best or just want a productive day on the water, the current conditions are ideal for a successful outing.
